Meet the renshaws
Pastor Derek and his wife Christina have been serving the Lord in full-time Christian ministry since 2013.
They are privileged to serve the Lord with their growing family of two boys and two girls.
Ministry History
After finishing Bible College in 2013, Derek moved to Hunt Valley Baptist Church outside of Baltimore, Maryland. There he joined the staff as the youth and children’s pastor.
In July of 2014, he and Christina were married, and their blessed home was established. They enjoy serving the Lord together, and God began to bless them with children.
In February of 2023, the Lord moved the Renshaw family to Blythewood, SC. Derek is now the pastor of Blythewood Baptist Church where he is serving with his family.
A Journey to Authorship
Both Derek and Christina have loved reading and writing since they were children. Having children of their own prompted them to look for good Biblical materials for their home.
One area where it became immediately apparent that these were lacking was in children’s devotional material. The Lord laid it on Pastor Derek’s heart to write four children’s devotionals to help children begin the process of having a daily walk with God. At first, these were just published for his children and those in his ministry. In 2020, the door opened to publish the first of these, making them available to children anywhere. Thus, Blessed Home Books was born.
